Paul King, the director of the previous two films, decided not to shoot this part
Scenario
Paddington returns to Peru to visit his beloved aunt Lucy, who now lives in the Bears nursing home. Together with the Brown family, an exciting adventure awaits them when a secret takes them on an unexpected journey. However, he came up with the idea of a third film and joined it as an executive producer.
I love Paddington 1 and 2
Follows Paddington (2014). I always knew that the third film in the franchise would be unique, with a different director, a different setting and story line. For me, this film had three problems.
First, it's a bad script
I couldn't get into the movie, and the reason for that was the bad script. The charm of the franchise, which was always outstanding and used in the first two, does not matter. The feeling of healing that you don't feel, the lack of charm, this completely kills the film.
The third problem is the lack of character development
The way the characters were built in the first and second movies was great and outstanding, and although that's hard to do in this movie, it was bad. The second film was the best, from Hugh Grant's great performance to good foreshadowing and character development, this film is far from those levels. Sally Hawkins is not in this film and that is a big loss, although Emily Mortimer does well with what she has, she is sorely missed and could have made this film better.
There are several beautiful walls that take your breath away
Moments, from the iconic image to the twist of the plot, I would say that there are some good moments, I will single out the bad moments from this film, but it is not bad. If you follow the franchise and saw the first two, this one is different and unique, but it's nice to watch. 7.9/10 for me.
